card using straw |
Sharing a card create as GD contribution for Hamster Challenge. The theme for challenge is to use cocktail straws on our projects .It's an all-crafts challenge, so you can make a card, a layout or any
off the page project: toys, jewelry, baskets, absolutely anything .Here is the challenge pad.
Now on to my card.I have used white card stock for base and covered it with tissue to add some texture. center panels are made using straw.
For the bigger one I cut the frame from packaging material(wanted a sturdy one to hold the straw properly) glued the straw on it and then covered it with tissue paper. And then colored it slightly. It looks like corrugated material. For the smaller one just glued the straws and tried (??) to distress the edges with color.Added a layer of colored gauze between panels n card stock. If the card look beautiful all the credit goes to the gorgeous flowers which are from Sindhu's give away (Thanks a lot Sindhu !). Made some swirls and leaves and added some pearls to finish off.The sentiment is handwritten. Did you like my attempt to use straw on card ? Do tell me.
