Altered Gift bag

Altered gift bag
Hello Friends ! Sharing an altered gift bag today .I started with a plastic bag which came with washing kit. I loved its bright neon green color and decided to combine it with blue color.

before altering

For the bg I used an interesting technique .I spread some diluted acrylic blue color on a plastic sheet and pressed my paper(which is from shirt packing) over it repeated this till I got desired pattern.

After it was dry, I used home made texture paste ( recipe here) and stencil on it.

Side View
while the texture paste was still wet I sprinkled some white rangoli powder over it for grainy texture.

closer look
Glued silver glitter paper strips and then layered the patterned paper over it.Made the pleated ribbon by folding strips of tissue paper.the lace flowers are from a old dress and the green beads from old bracelet.Layered a doily, flowers and feathers, home made pollens over it .The leaves were cut from crepe paper.

I have decorated it on backside too.

How is it ?
