Twril pop-up card

Card Front

Hello Friends ! Today I have a card to share which is made for soon to be engaged couple.(Though it looks quiet  girly ,its for couple :). Its a square card (4.25 * 4.25)

Side view
I have used two envelopes for this card ,how ? let me show you..

Envelopes used
First one is a mail envelope I have used its transparent window for the shaker window ,(Ya its a shaker card :) !)and second one is an invite envelope ,I have cut it open and used the plain side to make bg along with remaining part of first envelope.Talking of bg ,I tried new technique Shaving Foam Technique for creating it. An interesting technique to created marbled pattern paper.

steps to create marbled pattern with shaving foam
Spread shaving  foam ,splash some colors (I have used acrylic colors), make pattern with a toothpick, press the paper over it and lift, remove the foam and tada.. you have a custom made pp ! You can find a detailed tutorial on Technique Time Tuesday blog by Karen .
This card  for engagement(ring ceremony) how does it indicate that ?? Lets open it.

card inside
One more new to me Technique Twirl Pop-up ,Its very easy but fun technique (tutorial). When you open the card the hearts actually twril .

I made videos to show the  twirl mechanism in action but all turned shaky .So I will describe it (You can watch the card n action in tutorial linked above). Do you see the thread/string tied to the stick in center ? Its wound around the stick 2,3 times before attaching it to the base,so When card is opened the string gets pulled which in turn rolls the stick and the hearts twirl !

Made the rings with golden thread and some bling. The words are handwritten (as if u didn't guess !)Thread from old rakhi and the sequins too.

Lets come to the front again ,I tried one more new thing Calla lilies following  Dr.Sonia's tutorial.I used ceramic powder mixed with white glue for stamen and rolled it in coarse rangoli powder for texture. The leaves n calla lilies are cut from handmade paper and I have inked them slightly with memento dye inks.

And now Special Thanks to two of  my lovely friends
Yvonne for the twine and Deepti for the sentiment label.
