Featured on IBS

Hello Friends, I am very Happy to share that today my card and blog are being featured on IBS Blog !! I would like to Thank Joanna and IBS team for giving me this opportunity . I made this card using Happy Occasions Sentiments from IBS.

Started by cutting shaped base for card using a die-cut (Rak from Sindhu) as template. Then I cut a smaller shape from water colored paper for my second layer. Two more smaller shapes were cut from silver glitter paper and water color paper.I have combined two sentiments from the stamp set on the central panel.I have used Two tone stamping Technique to Stamp "Special Day".

I have used a wide organza  ribbon to make a bow. Rose and buds are created using handmade paper.Inked them with memento dew drop inks.

I have used foam tape to give some dimension to the layers.Finished off with some pearls.I had a box with same color scheme as card , I have reused it .Covered the text with inked papers and used another sentiment from the Stamp set.

Here is the complete set.

R u Stuyding ??

Confused by the title  :) ?
I have a kids card to share Today..

Card Front

Its a pop-up card  ! This pop-up mechanism has been on my must try list since I read this post by Karen Burniston .The spinner mechanism is quiet simple I was not getting a correct theme to implement it ..I thought lets go with kids theme.

card open

All the images(except for the car sticker) used are drawn on paper from old invite and then colored with watercolor pencils.Lots of fuzzy cutting .I have used a pp to create the study desk ,the rack, kids shirt, chair and the bg  and have done shading with watercolors to give some depth.Watch this video to see the spinner in action.(Sorry for the poor quality video :( )

Did you notice..how the naughty kid has used Exam schedule to cover the T20 world cup Time table :D !
I hope you liked my attempt of making kids card ...
Hey wait aren't  you wondering what that clothespin is doing on the card..you didn't notice :( .. OK take a look again..

How innocent that kid looks so engrossed in studies Is it ??

Guess what He is Taking a nap...:D !!

When saw an image of blue orchids in news paper Sanketi's cards flashed in  my mind  ! Thought of giving a try & this is the outcome of my trial wet-in wet watercoloring technique !

Drew the flowers roughly with water color pencils and  then colored them ..

Glued a sliver glitter strip  and stamped the sentiment to complete the card.
