Sunny Box & Tag set

Sunflowers again ;) Not on card this time !! Before I show more, lets see how it all started.

Up-cycled box & tag

I have up-cycled a rectangular packaging box.It had bright yellow n red colors on it.I continued the same bright color scheme .After two layers of packaging tissue and coats of acrylic color,I created some patterns through stencil and acrylic colors randomly on all sides and top.I had sun and sunflowers in mind .I made the sunrays using pink burlap and colored it with acrylic colors.I did trial stamping on back of an invitation card with different inks, DI(scattered straw),yellow n orange pigment inks and later watercolored them.SO each flower looks different ;). Colored the lower part of the box with brown color to resemble ground and for the flowers to stand out.Can you guess what I have used at the base for texture ?

Gif showing all sides of box

Roasted (rather over roasted/burnt rice grains) !!

Box top
For the top I used strips of washi tape then layered jute, gauze ,handcut ticket frame coated with glitter ,twigs and a chipboard monogram.

Sunny Tag
I had this brand tag from another project on which I had smeared leftover texture paste.Kept the design similar to the box .Used thick twine to create sun and then colored with acrylic colors.Stamped sunflowers were big for the tag so I drew smaller ones.
Tag lying flat
All the words are written on leftover strips of paper.Colored them with pencil colors and inked the edges with red pigment ink.

To Brighten you

Front View
Hello friends ! Hope you all are crafting and doing good :) My apologies for not replying to comments and queries on my posts,I was traveling last few days ,so away from home, crafting and blogging.
Now to my card , I had stamped and colored the sunflowers before leaving but could not complete the card and it has been sitting unfinished for 15 Days .I am glad that finally I managed to compete  it :)

Side View
The stamp is "Sketched sunflowers" from Stamplorations and I have followed one of the technique from  Online card class - No line coloring and combined it with usual shading technique. It involves stamping the image with light ink so the lines are not visible and then coloring it.I have used regular water color pencils for coloring.

Layering on card
The sunrays are also colored using water color pencils.I layered a white textured handmade paper on card base followed by olive colored textured paper for grass/leaves and then the paper pieced sunflowers. The center flower is adhered using foam tape for dimension.Finished off the card with handwritten sentiment.

I would like to Thank Sherry (owner of Stamplorations) for such Beautiful Giveaway .Hope you like it !

For a special friend

Front View
Hello back again with a layered and brightly colored card !
The blue and pink panels were created using watercolors.I followed a very fun technique shared here.I have used the peacock feather stencil (from Imaginarium) as stamp (reverse stenciling) to create the central panel.Used a mix of watercolors, acrylic color and Distress Ink on the stencil and placed a card-stock over it..The results are always interesting with this technique.

Side View
I have matted each panel on white card stock and layered one above the other.Used a sentiment label (RAK from Deepti Stephens). I have also used bright pink burlap piece and a glitter paper strip to add some texture.
