CAS New Year Card

Just One day for 2016 ! Made a simple CAS card to welcome it !

I have used textured cardstock to for the tag .Stamped flowers from Jane's doodles Spring blessings stamp set  with black archival ink and colored them with wax crayons, easy peasy (need some practice with crayons , gelatos would have been better choice !)

Used a colored cardstock strip to add color to the  background and made few dots with black marker.
Its my last post of this year ,

New Year card with Spotlight Technique

As we are move to the end of this year ..lets just focus on beautiful memories and let the not so good ones fade away !

Wondering what it has to do with the Today's card ?? Its the thought I wanted to depict using "Spotlight" technique !

This technique has been on my must try list for long.I started by stamping the hyacinth from Jane's doodles Spring Blessings stamps set with memento summer sky ink and made a mask with scrap paper for coloring only the circular part.

Used blue water color pencils for coloring and stamped the sentiment from Tim holtz blueprint stamp with archival ink.Adhered the panel on card base using foam tape and finished off with few rhinestones.

Did some more paper piecing for muffins.Used a textured black cardstock for the frame.
