Bright ,Bold Butterfly

Hello Sharing yet another card  ! posting for three days in a row , I have been active this week :)

Today's card is all about stencil fun ,The inspiration of course from the awesome Stamplorations Stencil bloghop and the beautiful card by Cornellia shared for Inspiration Post.

My Inspiration for CASEploration
I Sprayed a bright pink color on the stencil and using it as a stamp placed it on watercolor paper and you get a negative stencil image and interesting pattern of color ! Boldness of pink was not enough that I added more yellow color ,creating some orange at places.

It looked nice but very simple ,so came some more stencil fun ! The small squares yes ! made them using stencil and outlined them with orange glitter pen .I used one more  stencil which is barely visible (If you look too close !) Dots !

Stamped music notes and finished off with golden glitter strip, jute twine and vellum banners with handwritten sentiment. What do you think is it Bold enough ;) ?

Supplies used :
Stencil - Imaginarium Peacock feather
Small squares and dots stencil -Handcut
Spray - Lindy's Gang Spray -Hottie Patottie Set
Handmade paper card base

Thinking of you

Hello Crafty Friends ! Sharing a monochromatic mixed media card today .

Started by applying gesso to  card panel ,then glued news paper scraps at some places and one more layer of gesso, then a layer of crumpled tissue. Used a stencil to create some more texture using texture paste. After it was dry I did some loose water coloring in shades of blue.

I have stamped the image on vellum and layered a  paper scrap below it and distressed with DI.Stitched both the panel on the textured panel and adhered it on top folding card base.

Supplies used :
Stencil :  Prima - Poppies and Peonies Collection
Stamp : LaBlanche stamp ,Fiskars Simple Expressions
Archival Ink -Jet Black
Watercolor pencils
