Mixed media Altered box + Short Tutorial

Hello friends ! I have a altered box with some pretty colors to share Today . My blog has been inactive for soo long , a picture heavy post with a tutorial to compensate it :D ! Lets start,
Step1.Take a plain packaging box ,give a base coat ,mine was already white.
Step2.Adhere paper doily for texture.
Step3.A coat of gesso to give tooth for colors.

Steps to create Mixed media box
Step4.Add some texture paste through stencil.
Step5.Add colors of you choice.I have used distress inks .
The base is ready. Time to embellish it !

handmade embellishments
Handmade roses,handcut birds coated with Crushed Velvet flock,branches made using jewelry wire n masking tape.Eiffel tower and leaves are diecuts.
Box front
Used diecut butterfly coated it with green Crushed Velvet flock and layered it on handcut ticket frame ,some glitter on it.

Layers burlap and corrugated hearts ,used old key and handwritten words "Love is key to happiness"

Kept the top very simple.
