Bright Birthday card

Hello friends ! Is it too Bright ?? Lately I am drawn towards bright n vibrant color combos..

Started with a thick card stock panel with a coat of gesso, then applied modeling paste through hand-cut stencil ,after it dried gave coats of yellow and blue acrylic colors msting some water in between .Blue looked too bright so toned it down with gesso(Its hidden below the flowers n leaves ;) ! ).Adhered a lace over it .

I made roses and small flowers using punches.I have used DIs to color all the flowers. The leaves are cut from another textured cardstock on which I had smooshed left over DI from some other project.

Inked the edges of a die-cut doily with DIs and adhered it on the panel.Later adhered all the flowers and leaves along with glitter ticket frames.Finished off with heat embossed sentiment.I also made  a matching box-envelope.

Hello friends ! Sharing a Layered CAS card Today .Catchy girls are celebrating August with a challenge each week.Second week's challenge is set by Dr.SOnia to create handmade flowers. If you know her you must be aware of her love for handmade flowers n pop-up cards and she has shared numerous tutorial on her blog. She is an inspiration for me  and that is why, I wanted to make something different !

I started with a top folding card and adhered a embossed cardstock panel over it .I have cut the panel with curved edge and made a border around the edge using Stickles.

And now the interesting part i;e main embellishment ! can you guess what I have used for the flowers ?
Yes..its Zipper ,I got this idea from a tutorial for creating zipper embellishment using felt and feltwool .I used thick cardstock as base and crushed velvet flock.Glued some rhinestones for interest and finished off with few sequins .

Supplies used :
Doodlebug Crushed Velvet flock
Embossed card stock : Dr.Sonia's RAK  (Thank you !)

Hello Crafty !

Hello Crafty
I have a colorful card to share with you all Today ! This one has no stamping at all.

Hello Crafty

I have used smooth card stock for card base .Started by cutting a panel smaller then the card base and taping it on the cardstock. Then I sponged various distress ink on both the corners and spritzed some water on the inked area. While it was drying I drew all the images on scrap card stock ,colored and fussy cut them.Tied satin ribbons around the hand-drawn spools.

Hello Crafty

Finally arranged everything on the panel and glued them and then  adhered the panel on cardbase with foam adhesive. The sentiment is also handwritten .

Hello Crafty
Finished off by adding few sequins.

Supplies used:
Acrylic paint -white
Distress inks : evergreen bough,mustard seed,Salty Oceans,picked raspberry
