Sending Sunshine

Sending sunshine card

Hello friends , Today's card is definitely not for my Indian friends experiencing harsh summer heat ;)

Sending sunshine card

I have combined two of my favorite techniques for this card faux-chalkboard and water-coloring.I recently received watercolor goodies as gift from my Friend Jasleen whats better than to color sunflowers with them ? I am addicted to coloring them these days !Stamped the Sunflowers(STAMPlorations sketched sunflowers) with colorbox white pigment ink (Its soo juicy !) and made the sun rays using camelin color pencils.Stamped the sunflowers on Brusto watercolor paper (Its Awesome) with mustard seed distress inks and colored them using camel Artists watercolors.

Sending sunshine card

Until now I used watercolor pencils mostly for coloring ,its easy as we have control on the amount of colors we put on papers .I need a lot of practice using actual watercolors, they are vibrant and creamy as compared to pencil colors ! Finished off with handwritten words .Made few splatters with black paint to tie the panel with base.

  3. Whoa - there you go rocking all those challenges again! I parked next to you in the gallery at Paru's and had to come tell you how eyecatching your design is. That neutral BG just lets that sunflower jump off the card. Now I see that you also joined us at the MMCC for the sunshine challenge. Fabulous take!
