Make a Wish

Mixed Media Birthday card

Hello Friends ! I  am back with a card ,this one too with a background from my stash.Started with a textured cardstock piece which had left over colors from some other card mostly yellow ,teal, blue n green .Applied texture paste through dots stencil and made a rays pattern by masking.Stamped text with Faded jeans DI on alternate rays and sponged Mustard seeds on remaining ones.

recycled packaging
I have cut the star from some glossy n sturdy packaging which had some grey on it.Tried a technique shared by Pamellia Jonhson to create a weathered wood look ,got the effect only on some parts . Made a shaker and added more colors to background ,splatters and finshed of with handwritten sentiment and tiny stars cut from silver glitter paper.
Mixed Media Birthday card
Not much planning for this card ,did what every came to my mind .It will be good as masculine card what do you think ?

  20. Oh, Pooja! What an explosion of happy brightness! How incredible to use the dotted stencil, and THEN to mask off the alternating colors of rays. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your techniques, and the effects! At first, I thought you had only popped up the star, and then noticed that it was a shaker card, too! Lots of techniques in a single creation, to make my eyes so happy in looking at every little part of your masterpiece. I'm really impressed how the popped up adhesives don't show. Love this in every way - and have pinned it, too! thank you, Pooja, for inspiring me and bringing the stars to earth! hugs, de
