One Layered Birthday card

These three little chickies have thrown a Birthday party for their friends..All is set and  waiting for the Guests ! you are invited :)

Its a simple one layer card with a bit of masking ,ink blending (for sky) and water coloring and pencil shading.The cute chicks are from So Tweet with Evelin T Designs set(W&W). Drew a small house and a garden to complete the scene.

I leaves are from Indian motifs set (PABD). Did you spot the sequins ?? The flowers :) "Happy Birthday" is from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy set (W&W)

CFC 168 - One layer wonder

Happy Hello !

A very Happy hello to my creative friends ! Back with cool colors again ! I was inspired by the patterned strips and flowers from this fresh spring mood board.

Started by blending salty oceans ,peacock feathers and cracked pistachio distress inks on a card stock panel.Then flicker water over it for some interest.After it was completely dry,stamped only  part of  the Bold blooms Stamp (PABD) with archival ink.

 On another panel clear Heat embossed a beaded pattern using Strips Stamp set(Winnie & Walter)and watercolored loosely with lime green color.Used another stamp from the same set to create the black & white strips.Arranged them on the card base.used Rectangled and Triangled set(Winnie & Walter) to mimic washi tape.
The sentiment is from The Big the Bold and the Happy (Winnie & Walter). Finished off with few sequins.

Trendy Triangles

Back to my favorite(and most repeated)fresh color combo :) Yellow & blue with lime green.

Dabbed Mustard seeds,salty oceans and peacock feathers Distress inks on acrylic block,misted water and smooshed it on the card stock.

I totally love anything geometrical,had fun creating the pattern (though simple one) using Rectangled & Triangled set.Used some more hand-cut triangles to embellish the card. Sentiment is from The Big the Bold and the Happy set. Made few tiny triangles using stickles to finish the card.

CAS Birthday card

Hello  friends how have you all been doing ?

(If you noticed) I had taken a blogging break but could not stop myself from joining the  Winnie & Walter's 3rd Birthday bash celebrations ;)

And here is my card ..

does it look familiar ? Quite a repetition of ideas on this one ;) 

Started by applying texture paste though Big Bang Sci-fi Star Creative Screenings ,next heat embossed on acetate using Mini Scenery: Madison.I had this bold colored piece made using alcohol inks which I layered beneath the acetate.

Heat embossing again for the happy from The Big the Bold and the Happy.Birthday also from same set.

A matching envelope for the card.
