Simple Birthday card

Sharing a One layered birthday card today.I was inspired by Kelly Latevola's card shared here.Well Kelly's cards are far more neat and beautiful then mine, my card is a messier version ;)I have few step photos ..

I started by applying traditional tube water color (Camelin Artists water colors) on a acetate sheet diluted them with water before smooshing it onto wet water color paper.I used yellow & pink colors.

After the panel was completely dry stamped the flowers with masking (Studio katia- Together we bloom). The flowers were not standing apart from the bg.So stamped some text and added more color around them.(started getting messier ;)

Made some black dots to separate the floral design from bg.The sentiment is also from Studio Katia stamp set (Birthday lions)

Made a matching envelope.I did not to add any sequins or enamel dots to keep the card simple,A sequin or two might have looked good ..what do you think ?

Can a card get any more busier than this ?

Seriously..no place for eye to rest on this card !
Well I started with a nice CAS layout in mind with few bright & bold fuschia flowers(Mudra-Humming Bird) and a white heat emboseed sentiment(also from Mudra). As I started stamping the floral bunch with white pigment ink on textured black cardbase, got carried away and stamped almost 1/2 of the card,Thank God I remembered to leave some space for the sentiment !!

Stamped the flowers on watercolor paper.Colored them with brush pens and fussy cut ,when I place them on card ,I felt a need to add more (carried away again !) in came the buds, then some white dots..then some clear sequins ..some more color..spotted this nailpaint which matched a bit.. some more dots..I also colored the remaining stamped image with white color pencil.

Did I tell you it was supposed to be a OLC..but ruined the card base initially (impatient to let the white ink dry !) Stamped another panel and foam mounted it on the (ruined)card base.

As if this was not enough I even decorated the envelope to the most ! I made this card for the designer of this beautiful stamp set and my crafty pal Suchi.
Do tell me if you like this overdone set !

Mudra Guest Post - full reveal

Hello friends here the full reveal of the Mudra GD-Post.Its a long post as I have four cards to share today :)
Let’s get started,

I loved the Humming Bird set ever since I received it but didn’t use it much .This was a perfect time to get the stamp out .For the background I did lots of masking and stamping for the fuschia flowers. I wanted the bg to be light so I stamped with light grey ink and colored with watercolor brush pens.

The humming birds in this set are so cute. I stamped one of them on water color paper .Colored and fussy cut it. I wanted the card to be one layered so, glued it directly on the card base. I Stamped part of sentiment from Special Birthday set and finished off with few sequins.

One layered card again!  I was aiming for the watercolor print look for this card. Used the most favorite and beautiful Dainty Flowers set. Started by roughly drawing a square frame and stamped the sentiment from Special Birthday set I tweaked it a bit to suit a couple ;)

Stamped flowers and leaves with masking .Then water colored the flowers, leaves and the frame loosely. Few sequins and splatters to finish the card.

Next card is based on current challenge. It’s a Spinning wheel card. I stamped the sentiment and butterflies from the Butterfly Layers set on a card panel and fussy cut three butterflies, then stamped them again on acetate sheet and adhered on back of the card panel. The spinning wheel is colored in rainbow colors. Splatters and sequins again :)
You can see different colored butterflies as you spin the wheel

Lets open it,
Some more butterflies using simple pop-up mechanism.
Here comes the last card.

I have used pattern papers from Papericious. The fuschia flowers are stamped on watercolor paper. Then I fussy cut the panel and adhered on the card base.
The sentiment is from Sentiment Essentials set and is heat embossed on vellum.
Pull the side and  pop comes the butterfly! It’s a wiper card

I hope you enjoyed reading my post today.
