Floral Birthday Card

Hello Friends! Sharing a floral birthday card today, probably the last card for this year!

I started by heat embossing a geometric pattern on a patterned paper (femina from papericious) using stencil (Parquet from Neat & Tangled). Then I gold heat embossed the sentiment on vellum(Big greetings from SSS)

Next comes the embellishing with handmade roses, pieces of chipboard(criss-cross from Papericious),pollens and leaves and pearls.
I also made a matching box to hold the card.

I would like to thank you for supporting my blog and for the encouraging comments throughout this year .I hope my blog sees some more action next year. Wishing you happy holidays !!

CAS Birthday Wishes

Hello friends! I have been MIA for long, I apologize for not dropping by your blogs. I have a quick card to share today. All the credit for card layout goes to Pinterest,I was inspired by a print design.

I love coloring these large magnolias as large open areas enable to add details very easily. I have paired them with some gold embossing.
The sentiment says “hoping your birthday is filled with all you love”.

I didn’t add any embellishments to the card, kept it simple.

Supplies used:
Stamps: Magnolias for her (Altenew),Scenery-strips(W&W), Sentimental-Birthday(W&W).
Distress Inks:Spun sugar,Fired bricks
Onyx black pigment ink,Versafine watermark ink
Rangers Gold Embossing powder
Akashiya watercolor brush pens

Beautiful day

Hello friends, I am back with a floral card today.

I made the background using magical shakers .After the bg was dry I stamped the floral image repeatedly and heat embossed it in black. To add some interest to the card design I split the panel in two and foam mounted them on cardbase. Gold heat embossed “Beautiful”.

Finished off with few gems. It does not show in photos but the magical shakers have beautiful shimmer.

Supplies used:
Stamp-Charmed (Altenew)
LSG Magical Shakers-Ocktoberfest Orange, Cuckoo Clock Cardinal
Onyx Black pigment ink
Catherine Pooler rocking red dye Ink
Rangers Clear Embossing powder

Cute Critter Orchestra

Cute Critter Orchestra welcomes you to special performance!
Do check the video to see them perform.

Here is how it started,

I stamped the background using white ink on textured black card stock and drew the other details with embossing pen and heat embossed them. Then I stamped the critters separately on white cardstock with light ink water-colored and fussy cut them with few extra body parts.

I got this idea from paper dolls/puppet were the body part are attached with Brad's to allow movement.Only problem.was how to connect all of them to single tab. Then I came across this card  by Laura and her post had a tutorial.
l know my tab is a bit large! Made a matching envelope for the card.

Supplies used:

Three stamp sets from W&W(Multigrain ,Party On,The party hangover)
White pigment ink
Rangers Emboss It pen.
Clear embossing powder
Brustro Water color paper
Faber Castle connector color pens
Lots of brads

Set of floral cards

Hello Friends!! After a month of inactivity I am back to sharing cards. Not just one but a set of three. The basic design for all three cards is similar. Heat embossing on the background panel ,gold embossing on vellum and fussy  cut floral cluster.

Most of time taken while creating these cards was spent on getting right peach color! Of all the options I tried the solution came from most unexpected pigment inks. The box of rainbow colored pigment inks was lying in my stash for almost 3 years completely unused and the ink pads are giving away now.

Background for this card was created by heat embossing the pattern with lindy’s embossing powder.

For the next two cards I went for a tone on tone look with clear embossing powder.

I did some more gold embossing on background to tie the design together.

Upside down or downside up?

Can you guess the flowers?
Lillies? No! They are snowdrops!! Deepti had gifted me this stamp set designed by her (very) long ago and I was feeling guilty for not putting it to use. When I saw it last week I was determined to use it and started stamping at once on a small watercolor paper piece.

Only when I searched them for coloring reference on internet I realized that I had stamped them upside down! I didn’t want to
discard it so thought of coloring them as a trial.
Another supply from my stash that has been neglected for long, the connector coloring pens. Gifted by Vijaylakshmi , more than a year ago and I had no idea till date that I can water color with them !They are so easy to use on watercolor paper, so vibrant and come in a set of 24.I colored the background first as the flowers were going to be white. I could also create texture in the bg with water droplets.

Now that I knew the snowdrops are upside down I made another card with correct version .

For both the cards I made the background on card base by applying mixture of gloss gel and rainbow glitter through stencils.

Tulips, Tulips and more tulips!

Coloring just two tulips was not enough for me ;) I wanted to color them again, lots of them! I made this card for one of my crafty pals Ashwini, I am fan of her card making style and we enjoy crafty chats through our emails. I have been lucky to have her handmade cards in real !

Coming to my card I started by stamping tulips from two different stamp sets on watercolor paper and set about coloring them using distress inks. I avoided doing mistakes I commited on my previous card and did new ones ;)..The leaves, need lot of practice. (I could definitely paint some more again to get them correct! It is addictive)

I kept the card front smaller than the inside to add some interest to the card design. Stamped a pattern using a small triangle stamp at the bottom and finished off the card.

Supplies used:
Stamps: In Bloom-Addie's garden, Scenery-Rectangled & Triangled (W&W), Spring Blessings, Doodle Flowers (Jane's Doodles)
Distress inks: Spun sugar, festive berries, fired bricks, wild honey, mustard seeds
Akashiya watercolor brush pens
Memento dye ink bamboo leaves, Archival Black ink.
